Alan Lakisoe is a New Zealand born Artist of Samoan heritage. He has always had a love for art, and has been drawing since a very young age, studying art in his high school years. He then set aside his love of art for over a decade working different jobs and raising a family.
In 2011 he started sketching again and with encouragement from family and friends produced his first painting "Siva Afi "(Fire Dancer). He has since produced several personal pieces and works for sale.
Alan Lakisoe was nominated in 2013 at the Sydney South Western Regional Pacific Island and Maori Awards, in the category of Visual Arts of which from over 120 nominees he won highly commended.
He is a self taught artist. He currently based in Sydney Australia
